There is so much to see and enjoy in England and it’s hard to narrow it down to just a few but here are a few of Devynn, Lexi, and Nicole’s favorite Jane Austen inspired locations.
1. "Rosings" (aka Lady Catherine's home in the 2005 Pride and Prejudice adaptation). Not only is it big and BEAUTIFUL but it also contains a large garden area with a splash park, children mazes, and other interactive games.
2. Porstmouth. This is where HSM Victory is (a large naval ship) used as a type of museum. Is it so big, filled with information, and so fun to learn!
3. Lyme Regis. This is a coastal town that is filled with cute shops, yummy food, and loads of activities for the little ones. Swimming, small hikes, boating, kayaking, you name it! It's such a fun cute little place and we loved visiting.
4. Bath. Bath has so much to offer with loads of museums, tours, shops, and tours.
5. Lacock. It’s near Bath and makes a great day trip from there. It’s a small preserved city that is often used for filming (Jane's adaptations, and Harry Potter!)
6. Chawton, Hampshire. Visit Jane Austen’s home that has been turned into a museum.
7. Groombridge Place. Longboure House is here which is a private residence so you cannot go inside but can tour the gardens and enjoy riverboat rides, bird shows, and mazes.
