Our Top 10 Things to do in Ketchikan While on an Alaskan Cruise

There are so many fabulous things to do in Ketchikan, Alaska! Even if you have only one day there while cruising, you can fit in a lot of fun. Let me share the highlights of all we did when we were lucky enough to visit Ketchikan.

If you are cruising to Ketchikan, what are you going to do with your one valuable day there? Here’s a list of our top 10 ideas:

1. Fly in a floatplane. We flew with Family Air and absolutely loved the experience. We did the mini fishing option.

2. Visit Totem Bight State Historical Park.

3. Walk around shops downtown. Check out the giant Christmas shop.

4. Go to a lumberjack show.

5. Eat a bison burger at Cape Fox Lodge.

6. Go fishing.

7. Visit the Totem Heritage Center.

8. Go to the Tongass Historical Museum.

9. Take a MIsty Fjoirds seaplane tour. If you aren’t into fishing, you can just fly around the fjords.

10. Go whale watching or kayaking.
