5 Best Denver Activities for a Couples Trip
Looking for your next getaway? Check out our top picks for planning the best adventure to Denver!
Denver is such a cool city with so much to do! This week I will share some of my favorite things to do in this city, specifically for couples, but could also be for families!
1. Bike Tour
We went on a fantastic bike tour around Denver with our guide, Jeremy! He was awesome and had so many great things to show us.
We booked with him through Airbnb experiences. But you can also find his tour on TripAdvisor and Viator.
The bike tour is about 3 hours and is a great way to get a feel for the city. I recommend doing this on your first day so you can get ideas of other places you want to return to during your trip.
We started in the Five Points area and next biked to the RiNo (River North) Area. There were so many great shops, restaurants, and markets. The market had great food and so much to see!
We also got to see Coors Field, the Dairy Block, Union Station, Millenium Bridge, Larimer Square, State Capitol, and Confluence Park.
There are tons of cool murals throughout the city as well!
2. Wander the RiNo area
As previously mentioned, the RiNo area is the River North area.
This is also known as the art district.
There are shops for homegoods, jewelry, clothing, and food!
Check out Denver Central Market!
If you’re hungry, grab lunch or dinner at Mister Oso. This was fantastic Mexican food with great drinks, ceviche, and tacos! Everything looked so amazing!
3. Go for a hike
There are so many great hiking trails near Denver!
We did a hike called Lookout Mountain Trail. It is about a 30 minute drive out of the downtown area.
From the top you have a great view of Golden, CO!
Other hikes that have been recommended to me: Beaver Trail Loop and Golden Gate Canyon State Park (lots of trails here).
4. Check out Denver REI
This was the craziest REI I’ve been to! They have a rock wall for testing shoes and an outdoor bike track to test bikes.
Great selection of clothes! It was honestly just a fun store to explore.
5. Red Rock Amphitheater
Check out what events and concerts are upcoming at Red Rock Amphitheater!
Plan a whole trip around the show you want to see! It’s worth it! This venue was so unique and lots of fun.
We hired a driver through One Sweet Ride to have a driver to the concert (and to pick us up).
Here are some restaurants that we recommend checking out!
Coriander - Indian
Mister Oso - Mexican
Mimosas - Breakfast (Five Points area)
Fox and the Hen - Breakfast (my personal favorite)
Things I haven't done, but want to!
Visit the Mint, where they make coins! Tickets are given out every day at 7 am. Once they run out, they’re gone.
Go to Meow Wolf! It’s a wacky playground-type place.
Denver Art Museum
Spend time in Golden, CO
Tour Molly Brown’s house (Titanic survivor)
