Reasons Why I Think Paris is Worth a Return Visit

There is more to Paris than the typical tourist destinations! This episode covers some of the hidden gems of this magical city!

If you’ve been around for a while, you know that I LOVE Paris! It is one of my favorite places in the world. I have had so much fun researching things to do in Paris and I am so excited to share my findings with you!

Here are some of the best non-traditional-tourist things to do in Paris!

Bike Tour

I found a bike tour through Airbnb Experiences! We haven’t done it yet, but it’s booked for us next week. It’s an E-bike tour, which I usually don’t choose, but I’m excited to try it out. The bike tour covers Paris’s “best kept secrets”. It’s 4 hours and goes around the city.

Catacombs

The catacombs are underground tunnels with a mass graveyard. It sounds super unique and interesting, so I’m excited to see it. You get to walk about a mile through the tunnels.

Tickets directly through the Catacombs go on sale one week before the day that you want to go. I booked mine ahead of time through Get Your Guide.

Cooking Class

This summer we have a croissant cooking class booked! And last year we did a crepe-making class. We love cooking classes! They are always so fun and the food is so yummy. They provide you with all the materials and you get to keep the food when you leave.

Palais Garnier

If you get lucky, you can go to an Opera show while you’re here! Since there isn’t a show when we visit, we will be touring the Opera House.

Aligre Market

Go on a picnic with fresh food from Aligre Market! Grab some pastries, breads, and cheeses and sit on a lawn for the perfect relaxing day!

Paris Sewer Museum

Learn more about the intricate Paris sewage system! As weird as it sounds, I think that it looks really interesting.

Hiking Adventure

Hike 7.5 miles through the countryside. Take a train 30 minutes outside of Paris and experience some nature. The trail takes you “through the footsteps of Vincent Van Gogh”. You get to walk past villages, rivers, and hills. It is listed as “Hiking Adventure in Van Gogh’s Footsteps” on Airbnb Experiences.

Montmartre neighborhood

Explore and walk around the Montmartre neighborhood. There are so many amazing restaurants here and lots of artists in the streets. This is a great area to slow down, people-watch, and relax. You can also take walking tours here if you don’t like to sit around.
