Reasons Why I Think London is Worth a Return Visit
Have you already visited London and done all the main tourist attractions?! Here are some of my top London ideas that are off the beaten path!
1. Go to a concert
Look up your favorite bands/artists and see if they have an upcoming show coming to London. This can be a great catalyst for your trip.
2. Go on a โMarkets Dayโ
Visit the main 5 markets around London!
Borough Market (great stop for lunch)
Covent Garden Market
Portobello Road Market
Camden Market
Old Spitalfields Market
We like to use Google Maps to tell us the easiest form of public transportation to get between stops.
3. Sporting Events
We are lucky enough to be in London at the same time as the USA basketball team! So we will be attending the game.
Go to a football (soccer) game! This is a super fun and unique experience.
4. Visit Kew Gardens
This is an area filled with a bunch of different gardens. There are all different types of plants and sites to see.
5. Go to afternoon tea
How cute does afternoon tea sound?! There are so many places that host tea time.
We will be having tea at the London Ritz.
If you have kids with you, I think that the double-decker bus with tea sounds like a great time!
6. See a show at West End
We LOVE seeing shows at West End!
This time we will be seeing the new Stranger Things show.
7. Go on a walking tour with a retired Royal Guard
We haven't done this excursion, but it sounds super interesting!
Now here are some day trips out of London!
1. Liverpool
We are taking a train from London to Liverpool. I absolutely love riding on the trains in Europe!
We will leave in the morning and return that night.
Once we arrive, we have a guide taking us on a Beatles tour to see all of the sites related to their band.
2. Stonehenge & Bath tour
Stonehenge is so iconic and is an intriguing historical wonder.
You can hire private guides or do group tours that will take you to both destinations.
We are using London Country Tours for this excursion.
