Favorite Outdoor Activities in San Antonio
Natural Bridge Park. Tour caverns, go on zip lines, or pan for gold. Be sure to make a reservation for your cavern tour.
Brackenridge Park. Downtown San Antonio. Japanese Tea garden, nature walk, zoo, botanical gardens, hiking trails, picnic spots.
McCallister Park. Fun playground along with hiking and biking trails.
SeaWorld. A fun combination of animal exploration along with a few rides.
Six Flags Fiesta Texas. If you love big coasters, this is the park for you. You may want to skip this if you are looking for something to do with younger kids.
Arts/Culture with Kids in San Antonio
The San Antonio River Walk. This is a place along the river with shops and restaurants. Go on a boat tour for great views and a little history lesson.
Tour the 4 Missions + The Alamo.
The DoSeum of San Antonio. Many hands-on activities for kids. There is a spy exhibit that is especially fun, so don’t miss it!
The Witte Museum. Science, nature, and culture. Great for all ages.
Legoland Discovery Center. Indoor LEGO wonderland with places to build with LEGO, a couple of rides, and a 4D movie.
Great Places to Eat in San Antonio
Whiskey Cake. Lyndsey loved their chicken and waffles!
Tarka Indian Kitchen. Tikka Masala and samosas.
Pasha Mediterranean Grill. Fresh food. Vegetables, kababs, and pita.
Gogi Street Korean. Try the bowls and kimchi fries.
Nola Brunch & Beignets. Get the beignets.
Other Tips for Visiting San Antonio
Visit Buc-ees. This is a huge gas station with a department store on-site filled with every road trip item you could ever need.
The Hyatt Hill Country Resort is a great place to stay with many amenities and very child-friendly.
A perfect day in San Antonio could include a day browsing the shops and restaurants in the Pearl District and then exploring Brackenridge Park
